Beautiful mint-condition original watercolor stylized floral painting by listed artist Benjamin Jorj Harris or Ben Jorj Harris (1904 - 1957). This is not a print of any kind. It is a genuine, vintage original watercolor painted with an airbrush by Harris. He is listed in the Who Was Who In American Art, Polo-Art, AskArt, ArtNet as well as the Davenport Art Reference and Price Guide. This beauty is ready for your wall. It is signed HARRIS in the lower center and also has the copywright N.D. in the lower left side of the painting. The (Copywright N.D.) stands for Newman Decor Inc. located in New York. This watercolor STILL has the original Newman Decor label on the back of the painting. It also has the original number, written in pencil on this label as well ... #1205. Ben Harris was a true pioneer in developing the art of painting with an airbrush and was a master of shading and depth. He is famous for his illustrations, for Teaberry Gum and on sheet music from the 1930's - 1950's. He did a lot of cover art and illustrations for various magazines such as Colliers.
