I think it's important not only to remember rural America but to preserve it-visually. As a Research Librarian I have access to over 25 million rural aerial photos taken throughout 43 states since the early 1960s. In this multitude of rolls of film, could there be a picture of your family farm? Or that place you loved to visit years ago? A great gift idea. It's so easy with the internet, after you contact me we set up a time when we can both be on the internet, my computer connects you to the Archives library and we scroll through the roll of film together.
